From 16 September to 22 September AEC Skyline supported three big events, one event in Slovenia and two events in The Netherlands. In Slovenia we supported a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) exercise with our Learjet. Equipped with EO/IR sensor and digital data link, this multi-mission aircraft delivered Close Air Support training to NATO forces.
During the same period, our field team supported the 75th anniversary of operation Market Garden. In support of the military and domestic police droneteam, our personnel provided a comprehensive network, thereby connecting the various sites where the memorable event took place. This advanced network facilitated the early warning of illegal drone activities in the vicinity of the drop zones at Groesbeek, Ginkel heath and Arnhem.
Based out of our home base Groningen-Eelde Airport we also supported the NLD AGOS led Purple Windmill JTAC exercise with our L-39 Albatros fast jet aircraft and T-72 and SA-8 inflatable target systems. Also equipped with EO/IR sensor and video downlink, our L-39 provided Close Air Support currency training.
Right now, we are also in the process of optimizing our Digital Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) capabilities as we aim to integrate relevant software and data link into our fleet of L-39 Albatros aircraft in the near future. This will allow us to maximize training value for our customers, the air-ground integration experts of the Netherlands and other militaries.
